Monsoon Trip to Shrivardhan and Harihareshwar

We were planning a summer trip but it couldn’t possible due to our busy schedule so planned for Monsoon Picnic. We did plan a summer picnic on Sunday 15th of June. I always like to visit beaches. I always prefer to visit beaches in Raigad, Ratnagiri, and Sindhudurga Districts. It was a wonderful trip to Shrivardhan and Harihareshware with my best pals Manit Swapnil, and Vicky. Shrivardhan is one the beautiful place in Raigad District. This wonderful picnic was arranged by Manit but still we were missing our two best buddies. We wanted to go Mahabaleshwar earlier and that picnic was cancelled and my friend Manit gave me idea about Shrivardhan picnic. He asked me for Shrivardhan picnic and I couldn’t resist said yes to him for a picnic.

We started our journey as usual from Roha at 12:30pm with Manit, Swapnil. We picked-up Vicky  from Tala, Raigad. We were so excited to visit Shrivardhan because we had never visited that place before. We reached Harihareshwar first at 2 o’clock. Harihareshwar is peaceful place with a cool beach and Temple of Bhramha, Vishnu, and Mahesh. We wanted to visit some points in Harihareshwar but Police couldn’t allow us as Red Alert was declared by Observatory. This place is surrounded by water and the storm waves were occuring at coast so police didn’t allow us to visit other points near Harihareshwar.

We left Harihareshwar at 3:00 o’clock and reached Shivardhan at 4 o’clock. Shrivardhan beach is awesome but the roads which direct to beach via S.T Stand is very tedious, you will get feel like you are travelling in a boat. This beach is under-develop and greenery, changing room near beach are pretty awesome. The length of beach is more than 3kms. We suddenly came to know that our stomach were empty. We went to market to have some food. We were seeking for hotel to have Non-Veg food. One villager told us that you won’t get food after 4 o’clock. After 15 minutes hunting we got one hotel. We ordered Chicken and Fish Thali. We came to Shrivardhan beach at 4:30pm. When we about to go in water, the rain started falling and waves were like storm waves. So we decided to get wet in rain. Getting wet in rain on beach gives you better feeling than to get wet in sea. It was truly a great picnic for me because I had never visited such place before. Vicky and Swapin were entertainers of the day. I really appreciate Manit, Swapnil, and Vicky for being with me in a picnic and making the picnic memorable.
